A worrying development in Italy
This is quite a worrying development. A gang of bullies picked on an autistic teenager in Italy. The incident was filmed and put on YouTube. Now Italy's courts have convicted Google executives over the posting of the video, saying they should have sought permission of everyone involved before it was published.
Google are clearly an easy target, but this precedent could have implications for everyone involved in the social media world. If this is to become the Italian view then it means one of two things - either you start checking all content before it gets uploaded, or you block Italy.
