RIM is losing market share to Apple and Google

Research by comScore has shown who won and lost in the US smartphone market at the end of last year. And it looks like Blackberry is losing out to Apple's iPhone and Google's Android. It still has a healthy market share though - about half sold in December came from RIM - with Google growing from a very small base.

Interestingly the iPhone is starting to gain ground in business. Fuelled in part by business people nabbing one for their own personal use, more business oriented apps are emerging.

Maybe, as phone contracts come due for renewal, we'll see that iPhone arrow grow a bit. Whether Google can follow suit given the very weak reception of their Nexus product I guess is something only time will tell.
