About Ross Hall
My career is long and varied and heavily influenced by the variety of industries and professions I've work with and the desire to learn....
Right now I run the back office for a telesales company that's part of a global bank - no names, no pack drills. Training, quality, IT, scripting, MI, they all fall under me, and it gives me the space I need to explore and experiment. More importantly, I've been able to rediscover the drive to get more from less and the qualities of leadership that have - in the past - led people to do amazing things with very little.
Before that I did a spell in Compliance and before that I ran my own consulting business working on business process reengineering, knowledge management and eBusiness. Those were fun, hard, lonely days.
If you want to go back further you'd have found me at IBM, working on Knowledge Management and eCommerce. This is where I learnt how real Account Managers work - and I've yet to come across any better than the best of these - and how large companies can afford to allow mavericks to experiment, create ideas and spin out some value.
This site is a meandering blog that is going to focus for the most part on delivering sales and what comes after the sale is made. I won't talk about the company I work for directly, nor will I name names, but I will draw on my vast experience.
So read on, dear reader, and of course all comments and thoughts are welcomed....
