Another couple of years of flickr

Time passes so quickly. An eMail arrived reminding me I needed to renew my Flickr Pro Account.

I did debate it for a little while, whether I should or not that is. I wondered whether to move everything over to Google's rival or just host my portfolio here. In the end the rework effort just seemed like too much for the sake of thirty quid.

Which raises an interesting point for everyone uploading their life into the cloud. When, eventually, their cloud service goes bankrupt or is shut down by an overzealous US Government, how are they going to deal with the gigabytes and terabytes of data they've uploaded. Most consumer broadband connections aren't capable of handling that sort of data level.

Maybe a business opportunity for a middle man?
